Climate Change
This article from Newsweek magazine is a must read for everyone. The teaser pull-quote to wet your appetite is, "The evidence in support of these predictions has now begun to accumulate so massively that meteorologists are hard-pressed to keep up with it." I cannot argue with the science, these guys are always right. The last paragraph says it all. Are we ready to face this grim reality?

I came across the "global cooling" bit in Richard Foster's Simplicity a few years ago, and laughed pretty hard--there is some great irony.
However much fear mongering might be going on with this issue these days (and there is some), the science behind global warming seems to be much more widespread (both geographically and temporally). It's hard for me to believe that the whole thing is a hoax, and if it is not, our inaction in facing the problem is simply irresponsible.
Thanks for the link to the article, it is surely a valuable bit of cultural archealogy...
